Facility & Grounds Officer - Keep Our Health Facility Safe, Functional, and Welcoming

Play a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning health environment for staff, patients, and visitors. As a Facility & Grounds Officer, you’ll be hands-on in keeping our health unit running smoothly and supporting the delivery of high-quality care through your maintenance expertise.

About the Role:

As a Facility & Grounds Officer, your primary responsibilities will include general facility Ground and Garden maintenance across both the interior and exterior of the health unit. Other duties may include rubbish collection, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and mechanical work.

You will also complete breakdown and preventative maintenance program tasks, monitor plant and equipment, and maintain accurate documentation related to all maintenance activities. Your work ensures a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors alike.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in building and ground maintenance.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience and knowledge of plant and equipment operation and maintenance.
