Overview:

The Research and Ethics Policy Officer will undertake the role of Executive Officer to the SA Department for Health and Wellbeing Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC), including organising full and executive sub-group HREC meetings and preparation of agendas for distribution to HREC members; taking minutes; and preparing correspondence. The Research Ethics and Policy Officer will also assist in the development of research and research related policy documents and provide of advice on research policy, strategy and research ethics and governance matters consistent with Government policy and departmental strategic directions.

The Research and Ethics Policy Officer will develop and maintain close working relationships with other officers in SA Health, the Local Health Networks, other government agencies and key community stakeholder organisations.

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
