Health, Safety, Community & Sustainability Manager

Your new role

Use your Health and Safety knowledge and experience to support and coach partners to enable real time risk management in a dynamic fast paced complex work environment.  Visible leadership onsite through to executive reporting, this role will drive culture and continuous improvement through a national business.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive Health, Safety, Community and Sustainability projects to enable improved risk reduction and control improvement in line with Cleanaway’s HSE Roadmap.
  • Coach managers and teams to apply knowledge to reduce Health and Safety (H&S) risk and prevent injury and illness.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of H&S standards, guidance, and tools to drive standardisation and continuous improvement.
  • Partner and influence on H&S effectiveness, capability, and ways of working.
  • Support and facilitate H&S regulator interaction (i.e. reporting, relationships and responses).
  • Support, coach, mentor and develop the H&S business partner team members to expand and enhance their functional knowledge and improve H&S outcomes.
  • Assist in the delivery of sustainability and community goals.

 

About You:

 

We are looking for a dynamic safety focused people mover and shaker with an innovative mindset who would like to come along on our change journey with a bunch of bright ideas and interesting ways of making sure our safety message is delivered and executed.

 

We would like to see people with the following skills/experience:

 

  • Postgraduate qualifications in occupational health and safety, or other relevant disciplines
  • Practical health and safety leadership experience
  • Passion for sustainability and an interest in sharing this message with the community
  • Ability to influence and drive change through relevant initiatives and programs
  • Proven experience in driving complex incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in leading H&S initiatives and programs to achieve requirement outcomes with ability to prioritise programs well.
  • Demonstrated experience with coaching and mentoring team members
