The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for a Collections Team Leader to join our Collections Team. Reporting to the Collections Manager you will be responsible for managing collections resources and processes, to maximise debt collection for the organisation. You will also be responsible for:
- Assisting the Collections Manager and fellow Team Leaders to achieve targets by managing team resources
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to maximise collections and minimise customer debt
- Delivery of targets for the Collections team and ensuring they are met
- Managing, implementation and measuring of strategies and processes to reduce DSO & aged debt
- Assisting with reporting on debtor activity
- Providing coverage of Collections Manager duties when Manager absent or engaged in other activities
- Managing a team including coaching and performance management
About You
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team, including coaching, performance and resource management
- Debt Collection/Accounts Receivable fundamentals and applications, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements pertaining to credit activities
- Agility when required to meet business requirements
- Intermediate to high level ability and knowledge of Excel
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining a large customer ledger
- Experience in developing and executing collection strategies
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and participate in business improvement activities
- High attention to detail
- Previous experience in Waste Management highly desirable
