The Role

We're searching for dedicated individuals to join our team at the Park Ridge depot. As a HR Driver, you'll play a crucial role in operating collection vehicles throughout the Logan region, including metro areas. Your responsibilities may include side lift and/or rear lift loading tasks, servicing various locations from residential areas to commercial and industrial facilities.

What is in it for you?

As part of closing the gender gap of drivers in the waste management industry, Cleanaway is running a Driver Academy for Women to address substantive equality for female identifying or non-binary persons in the industry by removing some of the barriers preventing them from getting involved. Cleanaway is seeking two women to participate in an intensive training program which includes licencing and other training required to set you up to be a HR licenced truck driver, followed by ongoing learning for the next 12 months.

Paid 5-week training program will include:

• Obtain Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR)
• Uniforms and PPE
• Induction to Cleanaway
• Training program to become a driver
• In cab coaching
• Practical driver training
• Buddy driver program

To be part of the program

• Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 months
• Driving History Check with a minimum of 8 demerit points remaining
• No heavy vehicle driving experience required
• Passionate about working as a team
