• $44.00 per hour (plus OT when available)
• Day shift role 05:00 am – 13:30 pm
• Permanent role, Maryborough location

The Opportunity

Based at our Maryborough site, we are seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter to join our team on site at our new Material Recovery Facility (MRF). You will be actively working on our client site to ensure preventative maintenance keeps the site fully operational. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordinate and implement maintenance and preventive maintenance activities across our facility
• Safely perform and coordinate breakdown repairs on industrial waste processing equipment
• Co-ordinate contractors where required for the specialist repairs of equipment
• Ensure machinery used in production is consistently inspected and maintained
• Complete all records and paperwork accurately including isolation processes, as directed and required
• Take ownership of the maintenance and aspect of the site and machinery

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

• Trade qualifications as Fitter/Fixed Plant Mechanic/Boiler maker
• Forklift ticket
• Working in confined space ticket (or willingness to obtain)
• Working at heights ticket (or willingness to obtain)
• Open to completing some overtime (when required) as well as being part of a breakdown roster
• Experience in fault finding with automated/computerised equipment
• The ability to work as part of a small team, but also independently
• A safety first approach
