The Opportunity
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Technical Business Development Manager to join our Queensland Sales Team, based in Yatala, QLD. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be assigned a geographical area and will be responsible for hunting and securing new business opportunities across local government, mining, manufacturing and construction sectors. Additionally, you will be responsible for
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Ensuring long-term growth and profitability of the division by identifying and developing relationships with key clients and generating new business.
- Submitting quotes and following up on leads to close sales.
- Providing excellent customer service and building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Achieving sales targets per business metrics and targets.
- Collaborating with other business units at Cleanaway.
About You
You will bring a genuine passion for sales, customer engagement and the thrill of the chase. This position will provide a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the waste management industry and build your technical experience further.
- A passion for business development and sales experience generating new business.
- Proven experience in a structured technical sales or business development environment
- Previous experience in using a Customer Relationship Management tool, such as Salesforce, preferred.
- Excellent time management via your calendar to ensure you have adequate time infield and manage administration tasks.
- This is an autonomous role, so you must be a self-starter.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A tenacious, resilient attitude and results-focused approach.
- Work well under pressure, hunts opportunities and drives new business.
