What you'll Be Doing

As an Apprentice Die Setter, you will learn to:
  • Assist with maintaining and repairing tools, dies and equipment
  • Support scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
  • Operate machinery safely and follow set procedures
  • Help set up machines, moulds, and dies for production runs
  • Follow production schedules and meet quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and respectful workplace
  • Complete other tasks as required as part of your training

Skills and Experience:

 
  • Willingness to undertake an apprenticeship in Die Setting (certificate IV in Polymer Technology) – no prior experience required.
  • Strong math/problem-solving skills, Mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the maintenance of tools and machinery equipment
  • Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety. and ability to work safe around machinery.
  • Interest in plant, process, or manufacturing
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Working well both independently and in a team
  • Foundational computer skills (used for programming machine controls)
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Eligibility to obtain a police check as part of the recruitment.
