Senior Technical IT Project Manager

The Opportunity

This Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for the technical end-to-end management and delivery of HR Systems transformation project.  This will include project team leadership, oversight and responsibility of technical scope, vendor engagement, budget management, and best practice standards including governance and reporting.  This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Additionally, you will also.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal support groups
  • Monitor project progress, identify, and mitigate risks, and provide regular status reports to various internal stakeholders
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the project, from planning to final execution, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project milestones are achieved
  • Managing project delivery within timeframes and budget under an agreed delivery approach (e.g. Waterfall/Agile), and quality and benefit targets

 

About You

As an experienced IT Technical Project Manager, you enjoy collaborating with others, driving results and thrive in meeting challenging timelines while ensuring project budgets and milestones are met.  To be successful in this role, you will also possess.

  • Hold a Project Management Certification (PMP or Prince)
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management, methodologies, and principles, including across Waterfall, Agile and hybrid
  • Prior experience executing business-critical technical IT projects including risk management
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • A high level of reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity
