The Opportunity
Based at our client sites across the greater Brisbane area, we are seeking to add an experienced Operator/Driver to our team. In this role you will operate a range of plant equipment (yellow gear) within the Brisbane City Council Resource Recovery Centres. In addition, opportunity exists to drive Heavy Vehicle combinations within the SEQ area. In this role you will be responsible for the safe receival and processing of materials via the operation of earthmoving equipment, participation in resource recovery, engaging with customers in a professional manner and undertake general labouring duties as required. There will also be elements of record keeping and paperwork required to ensure we are committed to our sustainability goals.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Relevant licenses and tickets as well as experience operating dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes and driving Heavy Vehicles
- LF Forklift license (essential)
- MC Heavy vehicle license preferred; HC license required as a minimum
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Safety mindset
- Willingness to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
Waste industry experience is not essential, however possessing a good attitude, being reliable and having a willingness to learn is.
