The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Employee Liaison Manager to play a critical role in supporting our Pay Remediation Program. This position sits at the heart of our IR Compliance initiative, ensuring current and former employees are supported, informed, and paid accurately and fairly. Open to any location Australia wide!
As the Employee Liaison Manager, you will act as the key point of contact for employees—both current and former—guiding them through the pay remediation process. You will provide clear, timely advice, handle sensitive queries, and ensure all interactions are managed with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
Working closely with the IR Program Manager and HR/IR teams, you will manage employee relations matters, escalate complex cases, and provide regular reporting on remediation progress to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities;
- Provide accurate and timely advice to employees regarding the remediation process, including timelines, payment details, and next steps
- Manage employee queries and complaints relating to payment accuracy and remediation outcomes
- Communicate with former employees and/or their dependents to gather required information and facilitate payments
- Build awareness and understanding of the remediation process across people leaders within the organisation
- Draft correspondence and documentation using established templates
- Maintain accurate records of all advice, interactions, and case progress
- Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the IR Program Manager or HR Case Management team
- Monitor and report on remediation progress to senior stakeholders
- Potentially lead a small team managing employee enquiries and locating former employees
About You
You are a confident communicator with a strong background in employee relations or HR, and you thrive in roles that require both empathy and attention to detail.
You will bring:
- Proven experience providing advice to employees and managers on pay-related matters
- Strong experience managing employee queries and HR case management processes
- A high level of empathy and ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally
- Sound understanding of workplace relations, employee relations legislation, and OHS requirements
- Experience interpreting enterprise agreements, policies, and HR processes
- Strong written skills with experience drafting formal correspondence
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Formal qualifications in HR, Employee Relations, or a related discipline
- Experience working in remediation programs or large-scale HR projects
