The Opportunity
As the National Sales Academy Onboarding Lead, you will be responsible for delivering a consistent, high-quality national onboarding experience for new sales team members across Cleanaway.
This role focuses on ensuring new starters become confident, capable and productive as quickly as possible, by providing the right tools, systems, knowledge and support throughout their first 90 days and beyond onboarding through structured post-onboarding touchpoints.
You will work closely with sales leaders and support teams to create a seamless, engaging and effective onboarding journey, while maintaining ongoing engagement with new employees and their managers to identify capability gaps, development needs and re-training opportunities.
This is a hands-on, coordination-led role operating in a complex, national sales environment with strong exposure to stakeholders across sales, operations and corporate functions.
Key Accountabilities
Sales Onboarding Ownership
• Act as the primary onboarding contact for all new national sales team members during their first 90 days and beyond.
• Deliver a structured, consistent onboarding experience aligned to national standards
• Build strong, trusted relationships with new starters to support early engagement, confidence and retention
• Facilitate onboarding check-ins, touchpoints and feedback sessions
Sales Enablement and Capability
• Ensure new starters develop a strong understanding of Cleanaway’s value proposition, customer segments and solutions
• Coordinate onboarding content covering systems, processes, safety, compliance and ethical sales practices
• Support consistent sales capability uplift while allowing for regional and role-specific nuances
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner closely with Sales Leaders, Sales Operations, People & Culture, IT, Operations and HSE teams
• Coordinate inputs across multiple teams to deliver a seamless onboarding experience
• Act as the central point of connection between new starters and internal stakeholders
Systems, Assets and Continuous Improvement
• Coordinate access to systems, tools, CRM, devices, safety inductions and onboarding resources
• Maintain onboarding materials, playbooks, registers and digital content
• Use feedback and data to continuously improve onboarding effectiveness and efficiency
Governance and Reporting
• Track onboarding progress, completion and time-to-productivity metrics
• Ensure onboarding activities meet governance, safety and compliance requirements
• Accurately maintain onboarding records and reporting
About You
You are an organised, proactive and people-focused professional who enjoys enabling others to succeed and thrives in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
You will bring:
• Experience coordinating or delivering onboarding, enablement or learning programs within a large, complex or national organisation
• Exposure to sales environments, ideally within B2B, industrial or service-based organisations
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated experience identifying capability gaps through feedback, observation and data
• Ability to conduct information interviews and structured conversations with new starters and leaders to understand development needs
• Experience capturing learnings and insights and applying them across the organisation to uplift capability and improve onboarding outcomes
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Confidence working with systems such as CRM, LMS or onboarding tools
• Strong written, verbal and facilitation skills
Experience in sales onboarding, enablement or learning coordination within a national organisation is highly regarded.
