The Opportunity
Based in Mandurah, WA, the Driver Trainer & Assessor ensures that all new and existing employees and labour hire workers comply with the defined driver training requirements as per the Cleanaway Training Framework. You will develop and deliver the local training schedule, supported by qualified and nominated Branch Instructors.
- Contribute to maintaining current and standardised training by staying abreast of national and local regulations and broader industry trends.
- Ensure that all relevant training documentation is completed and stored as per company policy.
- Provide set reporting based on training and Verification of Competency completion on a monthly basis.
- Train new and existing drivers in the use of the relevant vehicle and equipment in line with the set VoC protocol and set standards of safe driving.
- Train operational employees in mandatory health & safety training for their role as per the Training Framework.
About you
You’ll ideally come from a transport or waste management background and have experience delivering driver training, supported by a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122). This role involves travel across the state, so you’ll be comfortable planning your schedule independently. An HR license is essential, and an HC or MC license will be highly regarded.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven industry-driving experience across a range of vehicles, supported by a clean driving record
- Experience delivering training and adult learning to a blue-collar workforce
- Capability to deliver Verification of Competency (VOC) training and assessments to required standards
- Confidence delivering classroom-based training
