The Opportunity
Cleanaway's Wetherill Park facility is one of Australia's leading oil re-refining operations, processing more than 40 million litres annually and returning valuable resources back into circulation.
As Refinery Manager, you will lead refinery operations and maintenance functions, building a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead refinery operations to achieve production, safety and compliance objectives across a continuous processing environment.
- Build capability and accountability across operations and maintenance teams, creating a strong culture of ownership and operational excellence.
- Drive plant reliability, performance and operational improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Provide technical leadership across refinery activities, ensuring safe and effective management of hazardous area operations.
- Oversee planning, budgeting and resource allocation to support long-term asset performance and production outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, process safety requirements and regulatory obligations.
About You
You are an experienced operational leader who understands how to balance safety, plant performance and production outcomes within a complex industrial environment.
You bring a strong process mindset and the ability to lead teams through operational improvement while maintaining high standards of compliance and process safety.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Chemistry.
- Experience leading operational, technical or maintenance teams within a refinery, oil and gas, mining, chemical processing or other heavy industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of process safety, hazardous area operations and operational risk management.
- Commercial acumen with an understanding of operational budgets, cost management and productivity drivers.
- Experience leading process optimisation, reliability improvement or continuous improvement initiatives within a processing facility.
