The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused National Account Manager to lead a portfolio of Cleanaway's largest and most strategically important customers. These complex, multi-site national accounts represent significant commercial value and require a highly consultative, relationship-driven approach.

In this key role, you will be responsible for retaining and growing enterprise-level customer partnerships, identifying strategic opportunities, and delivering value across large-scale national contracts. Working closely with senior customer stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams, you will develop and execute account strategies that support long-term commercial outcomes.

Success in this role will come from your ability to navigate complex customer environments, influence decision-makers at multiple levels, and effectively manage national relationships across dispersed locations. Through disciplined account planning, commercial insight, and proactive stakeholder engagement, you will drive customer retention, contract optimisation, and sustainable growth across your portfolio

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and manage a portfolio of top-tier national accounts as the primary strategic lead
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that drive retention, growth, and increased share of wallet
  • Identify and convert cross-service opportunities across Cleanaway’s full suite of solutions
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasting, and pipeline visibility to support informed decision-making
  • Ensure all contractual obligations, safety standards, and governance requirements are consistently met

About You

You are a seasoned account management professional who thrives in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. You bring a strategic lens to your customer portfolio, balancing commercial outcomes with long-term relationship value. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, you know how to influence at a senior level and bring together internal capabilities to deliver meaningful results for your customers.

Highly organised and data-driven, you leverage CRM and structured account planning to stay ahead, ensuring no opportunity is missed and every commitment is delivered. You’re equally comfortable leading high-stakes negotiations as you are engaging stakeholders virtually, recognising that managing national accounts requires consistency, discipline, and proactive communication.

  • Proven experience managing large, complex key or national accounts
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including contract and pricing negotiation
  • A consultative, relationship-led approach with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple business units and stakeholder groups
  • High attention to detail, with a strong focus on governance, risk, and compliance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
