The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs moderately complex and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Drafts and sends communications on supervisor/departmental staff behalf. Reconciles P-Card/Concur for other staff/faculty against departmental budget. Performs some simple budget monitoring/entry. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.
Academic Advisor I - 526597
The Academic Advisor I provides guidance to University students on academic progress, courses, University resources, etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. May teach compass course as needed.
Box Truck Driver - 526609
The Box Truck Driver drives and operates a box truck, including liftgate. Transports materials on- and off-campus. Ensures all vehicles are kept clean. May perform preventive maintenance check.
Campus Mail Clerk - 526610
The Campus Mail Clerk carries out the services of the campus mail area. Provides high-quality and cost-effective mail and package service to support the University business operations and student population. Provides student mail and package services, including all parcel lockers, and operates a retail shipping facility.
Bulk Mail Assistant - 526611
The Bulk Mail Assistant sets up and operates the equipment and software necessary to fulfill the mailing needs of customers of the Bulk Mail unit in University Printing. Processes mail list to obtain lowest possible postage rates. Utilizes digital envelop press to produce envelopes for customers. Operates and performs light maintenance to keep equipment and processes efficient. Prepares proper USPS and accounting forms and submits in a timely manner. Coordinates orders with other University Printing personnel.
University Real Estate Investment and Property Manager - 526621
The University Real Estate Investment and Property Manager conducts onsite inspections of multiple commercial properties around the City of Tuscaloosa and the State of Alabama. Evaluates maintenance concerns and reviews lease terms to determine if required work is landlord or tenant responsibility. Facilitates comprehensive investment analysis to support informed decision-making regarding property acquisitions, dispositions, and overall investment strategy. Maintains inventory of available property around campus boundary for strategic planning and forecasting. Conducts thorough market research to uncover potential investment prospects across various real estate asset classes. Implement and oversee real estate software within the department to provide a streamlined property management process. Serves as the liaison between University Lands and UA Financial Accounting for base rent, Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, and tenant specific costs.
