Reporting to the chief financial officer (CFO), the Controller is responsible for day-to-day finance operations and supervises a team of 40 staff members, including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashier, collections, credit cards, finance systems, payroll, purchasing, construction finance, and tax. The Controller ensures Pepperdine University has the internal controls, systems, and procedures in place to safeguard assets, produce accurate and timely financial reporting, and support exceptional customer service. S/he will be the resident GAAP expert, with deep and current experience in financial reporting and fund accounting. In addition, the Controller will partner with the CFO to mentor and promote the professional development of all members of the Finance team.
Student Accounts Coordinator West LA Campus
The Student Accounts Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to deliver professional customer service to students regarding student accounts and related student issues and to maintain GSEP and PGBS students’ accounts in accordance with the University established policies & federal regulations. Successful candidates should have an earned master's or doctoral degree and commitment to student success. Preferred qualifications include successful experience teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing students. As a new program, we seek faculty in a wide-range of specialty areas, including: pathopharmacology, adult medical/surgical, pediatrics, gerontology, obstetrics, behavioral/mental health, community/population nursing, and clinical foundations/reasoning. Clinical expertise, including direct patient care experience, in one or more of the specialty areas is required. In this 10-month position, July 15-May 15, Resident Directors (RDs) serve as ministers, professionals, mentors, educators, and scholar-practitioners. Their primary function is to build community within an assigned residential area, to support students, and to foster respect for the policies of the institution. This position contributes to and supports the University's mission and strategic plan by enhancing the learning experience and by fostering a safe, caring, respectful, and dynamic residential community. Resident Directors oversee 8-13 student leaders including Resident Advisors (RAs), Spiritual Life Advisors (SLAs), and Graduate Assistants (GAs); develop communities of 250-450 freshmen, sophomores, or upperclassmen/graduate students; and provide support to campus via an on-call RD rotation.
