Assistant Field Hockey Coach Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Assistant Field Hockey Coach. This is a full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. Under the general direction of the Head Field Hockey Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III Field Hockey program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Assistant Field Hockey Coach will work in conjunction with the head coach to fulfill the following responsibilities: coaching student athletes, scouting opponents, and recruiting. Although the head coach will be primarily responsible for the organization, maintenance and implementation of the offensive and defensive game plan and installation, this assistant position will work to complement this process. Additional responsibilities will be assigned in game management, facility overview, teaching, and / or administration. Post-baccalaureate Researcher in Chemistry Gambier, OH
The Kenyon College Chemistry Department is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, post-baccalaureate position in the laboratory of Yutan Getzler. This position is funded through a Research at Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) grant from the NSF to study controlled polymer degradation. The immediate goal of our program is synthesis and characterization of linear and cyclic polyesters via ring-opening polymerization of commercially available and novel lactones using coordination compounds. Several variants of the novel lactones are in hand on multi-gram scales and their syntheses are well developed. Initial conditions for polymerization of commercially available monomers are established. This position designed for those intending to pursue graduate studies in synthetic chemistry.

Kenyon College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor in Science and Nature Writing with an appointment in the Department of English starting July 2025. We seek candidates who can contribute to the college’s vibrant Science and Nature Writing initiative that encourages artful, creative, and accurate writing about the natural world. Teaching expectations are five courses per academic year, including courses in the English department and possibly in other departments that contribute to Science and Nature Writing, such as Environmental Studies, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Grounds Person to maintain athletic fields, snow removal, weeding, mulching, pruning, and a wide variety of tasks working independently or as a member of a group, to maintain college-owned property and campus grounds, including trees, shrubs, and flower beds; present a hazard-free and overall clean and neat campus appearance. Individual must understand that it may be necessary to work overtime, in order to provide a safe campus for students. Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Center for the Study of American Democracy The Center for the Study of American Democracy invites applications for a one-year residential postdoctoral fellowship for the academic year 2025-26, with a start date of August 2025. This fellowship will explore the nexus between the market and society. Candidates will be jointly appointed with an appropriate affiliate department of the Center, such as economics, history, political science, philosophy or sociology. To be considered for the position, candidates must demonstrate a strong research interest in the role that free markets play in economic and political development. We encourage applications from candidates holding Ph.D.’s in economic history, economic sociology, new institutional economics, political philosophy, political economy, public policy, or similar fields. Fellows will advance their research agendas and teach one course per semester in an affiliate department of the Center, such as economics, history, political science, philosophy or sociology.
