Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified applicant to fill the position of Program Manager for Employee Housing. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), and is responsible for comprehensive management of the employee housing program. Duties include administration of the rental program, support for housing development and expansion, and management of housing construction and renovation projects.
The Program Manager must have exceptional organizational skills and be highly detail oriented. The ability to work with a great deal of flexibility, multi-task, function in a busy team oriented environment, and meet deadlines is required for this position. The person in this position must be proficient in and comfortable with the Google suite and Microsoft Office applications. Highly developed professional discretion and exceptional independent good judgment are required.
Essential Functions
- Function as a member of the COO’s leadership team, including regular coordination and interaction with COO direct reports and other campus colleagues.
- Manage the housing inventory and rental status.
- Coordinate the application process and communication with applicants.
- Coordinate the administration of rental agreements and payment procedures with Payroll.
- Assist in the development and implementation of housing policies and procedures.
- Lead the assessment of facility conditions/program suitability and develop project scopes of work and project budgets.
- Serve as the primary project manager for employee housing projects, including contract administration and quality assurance.
- In collaboration with the COO evaluate and develop opportunities for housing acquisition, development, and third party partnerships.
- Coordinate furniture selection and procurement for furnished units.
- Assist in the development of finish standards and expectations.
- Coordinate maintenance responsibilities for housing turnover.
- Serve as the primary contact for potential renters and employees in rental housing.

Working Conditions
The successful candidate must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and maintain a high level of confidentiality concerning sensitive campus-wide issues and material handled by the office/position on a regular basis. The position requires regular travel to visit properties and manage project sites.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience in real estate acquisition, property management, rental programs, and housing project management is required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate or a related field is preferred.
