The Team:
The Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Adviser reports to the Manager Stakeholder Engagement. The Stakeholder Engagement team brings specialist expertise to the multi-disciplinary Infrastructure Services group in support of effective engagement with our stakeholders and the community. This role is an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional to join a small team within a dynamic and collaborative group, and to play a role in delivering our strategic priorities.
The Role:
This is a senior role that requires advanced knowledge and experience in delivering stakeholder engagement and communications as a dedicated function. It requires the ability to lead activities which will have a positive effect on organisational outcomes and strategic objectives within and beyond the team.
The Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Adviser plays a key role in development and delivery of communications and engagement activities across a large and complex program of work that underpins broader strategic priorities. This includes providing high-level specialist advice, including on high profile / escalated issues, to senior levels in a complex and changeable operating environment. This role contributes to development and continuous improvement of systems and processes to support effective engagement activities delivered internally and by external consultants.
You will need to:
- Provide high level, authoritative advice to support project teams in development and delivery of engagement and communication strategies across Infrastructure Services projects and programs; including advice on plans developed by external consultants.
- Provide specialist advice, including to senior and executive managers, on strategic and operational issues across stakeholder engagement and communications, including on high profile matters of public and media scrutiny.
- Play a lead role in development and delivery of reactive communications in response to escalated issues, and in the coordination of planned communications in support of the capital investment program and other strategic priorities.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
