Job description:

At Oral Health Services Tasmania, you will work across a multi-disciplinary work environment.

The Team:

OHST is a team of approximately 300 people including dentists, oral health therapists, dental prosthetists, technicians, dental assistants and administrative staff.  Care is provided from 33 clinics around Tasmania. Adult services are predominantly provided from 6 major dental centres located in Hobart (New Town), Clarence, Glenorchy, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie as well as the 3 Special Care Dental Units (located within hospital precincts). Child and Adolescent Services are provided predominantly from 23 community clinics which are either located in a community health centre or are a stand-alone clinic.

The Role:

To ensure an efficient flow of information to and from the relevant region, the Administrative Assistant provides
high-level administrative support and advice to the Area Manager and Regional Management Team by performing
human resources, finance and administrative functions to support the business operations of the region.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in contemporary office management practices together with sound knowledge of computer applications including competency in the use of Microsoft Office suites, human resources systems and financial management information systems.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a broad range of people in a confidential and sensitive manner.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
