Join our dynamic Community Physiotherapy Team within Physiotherapy Services team in THS - South. Physiotherapy Services provide acute and sub-acute physiotherapy care for inpatients and outpatients, working in a truly multidisciplinary environment. Our clinical teams span diverse specialties, including acute medical, cardio-respiratory, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, hands, burns & plastics, and women’s & children’s health.
More specifically, the Community Physiotherapy Team provide outpatient Physiotherapy services across multiple community health centres in metropolitan Hobart and rural sites in Southern Tasmania. This caseload includes musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical recovery, falls and balance management and vestibular physiotherapy

The Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Physiotherapist (Community Team Leader) who is passionate about leadership and clinical excellence. In this role, you’ll coordinate and lead the Community Physiotherapy Team, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, oversee service delivery, and drive quality improvement initiatives. You’ll also mentor and support staff, contribute to research, and represent physiotherapy services at regional and statewide levels.

You will need:
- Extensive physiotherapy experience with strong outpatient clinical expertise and/or leadership experience. A vestibular skillset is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage services, coordinate resources, and lead a team effectively.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient safety.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary environment.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 22 January 2027.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: (edit and delete as required)
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
