Job description:

The Digital Transformation Manager will be responsible for leading TMAG’s digital initiatives including developing TMAG’s Digital Transformation strategy and framework, drive technology-driven changes in the organisation and ensuring that all aspects of TMAG’s digital assets are in line with TMAG’s strategy and business goals. We are looking for a leader to guide TMAG through its digital evolution beginning with assessing the current state of the organisation’s technology, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and then developing a vision for how digital technologies can streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive business growth. Once this vision is defined, you will oversee the transition from traditional business processes to modern, technology-driven solutions by implementing digital strategies, managing tools and platforms, aligning digital initiatives with the organisation’s overall strategy and business goals and assessing whether emerging technologies (such as AI) could/ should be incorporated into TMAG’s digital strategy.

Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 12 months. 

Duties

  • Develop, define and implement a digital transformation strategy and framework for TMAG in line with the TMAG’s strategy and business needs.
  • Develop short, medium and long-term roadmaps for the organisation’s digital journey ensuring the organisation remains future-focused while driving its digital transformation agenda.
  • Lead and monitor digital transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify digital innovation opportunities and implement solutions that drive business improvement.
  • Champion the digital transformation vision across TMAG, addressing concerns and inspiring adoption of new technologies and workflows
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and customers by fostering collaboration, managing conflicts professionally, and ensuring stakeholder alignment. When necessary, integrate digital transformation initiatives with other work streams, ensuring they align with the overall project timeline and key milestones.
  • Build a digitally empowered workforce by providing training and support to employees to help them adapt to and adopt new digital systems and processes, improve employee proficiency with digital tools and monitoring the effectiveness of these initiatives
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of digital transformation projects.
  • Research and stay updated with the latest digital trends and technology advancements and identify where they may contribute to TMAG’s digital transformation journey
  • Ensure all digital operations comply with data privacy regulations and other Government compliance and industry best practice requirements.

Desirable Requirements

  • Demonstrated awareness of the role museums and/or art galleries as research, interpretative, educational, and curatorial institutions.
  • Drivers licence
