The Educational Psychology Program at Mississippi State University seeks applicants to join our full-time faculty for two vacant non-tenure-track assistant teaching professor positions, beginning fall 2024. The assistant teaching professors will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching services to both our face-to-face (f2f) and online students.

Salary Grade:  UC

For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This role primarily entails teaching and related service activities. The teaching responsibilities encompass the following areas within the bachelor’s degree program in Educational Psychology: human development, motivation, learning and cognition, individual differences, statistics, and measurement. Additionally, courses may encompass teacher education service courses. The service activities involve undergraduate advisement, which includes organizing advising events, attending recruitment events, and providing guidance to students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate degree in Educational Psychology or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in teaching and advising students at the college/university level is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with instructional technology (instructional software, learning management systems such as Canvas). Ability to teach in traditional and non-traditional formats and settings (on-campus, off-campus, evenings, online).
