The role
Your remit is genuinely multi-disciplinary. You will lead strategic and operational financial planning and management, financial performance and analysis, governance, risk and advisory services, alongside the development of policy and legislative proposals.
You will work across complex legislative, policy and operational settings, bringing together evidence, financial insight and different perspectives to identify issues, challenge assumptions and provide clear advice on the way forward. Just as importantly, you will consider how policy and reform can be translated into effective delivery across a diverse operating environment and meeting the needs of the diverse communities we serve in NSW, including First Nations people.
Working closely with Ministers and Ministerial offices, NSW Government agencies, NSW Treasury, the Audit Office of NSW, industry and other stakeholders, you will navigate issues with significant political, public and community interest and build support for effective solutions.
