He/she will work with the coaching staff and will assist in daily operations of the team. The purpose of this internship is to develop an understanding of how the intercollegiate athletic programs operate. This position gives the student a chance to learn team operations from the ground up, learning all facets and gaining insight of how to successfully operate a program. Students will work daily with coaches, athletes and administrative staff and will develop working relations and learn how to interact on a professional basis within the parameters of the department. This is an ideal position for the student, of any major, who have a desire to work in intercollegiate athletics upon graduation.
