Student Diversity & Inclusion is a department at the University of Delaware dedicated to creating services and spaces that make students feel closer to themselves, address their needs as individuals, and promote community oriented solutions to community issues.
Role Description:
Student Diversity & Inclusion is seeking a student with some assessment experience who has worked as a Social Justice Peer Educator to aid in the creation of educational materials and the expanse of the SJPE program through assessment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of the Social Justice Peer Educators program.
- Engage in recruitment efforts for peer education program.
- Contribute to the creation of curriculum for SDI programs, including the SJPE program.
- Assist in the collection of data, including survey-data and focus groups, for SDI.
- Analyze SDI data and help create reports on data results.
- Contribute ideas and new perspectives on building student engagement around diversity and inclusion.
- Collect and gather information and resources from UD comparator institutions and external-to-UD organizations around diversity and inclusion marketing and communication.
- Engage in assessment and research efforts, which may include marketing and promotion of surveys and data interpretation.
- Serve as an ambassador for Student Diversity & Inclusion and participate in the general promotion of student success and engagement around diversity and inclusion.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Have weekly 1:1s SJPE program Director.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work 10-12 hours per week, at least.

Qualifications:

Enrolled undergraduate student in good academic standing.

Ability to work with undergraduate and graduate students who have experienced financial and food insecurity, and emergencies.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Proficient in Google Applications and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Google Sheets.

Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Effective leadership, team building and collaboration skills.

Assessment experience.

Experience with Qualtrics.

Experience facilitating social justice oriented workshops/dialogue.

Experience as a Social Justice Peer Educator.

Proficiency in dialogue development.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Skills in independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with attention to detail.

Experience working with the Qualtrics Survey Platform
HIRING TIMELINE:

- Interviews - in person and zoom - Start the first week of April after Spring break
- Interviews end April 25th
- Folks will be notified of interview results by May 9th
