Role Description:

The department of Student Wellness & Health Promotion is seeking, responsible, motivated undergraduate students to be trained as Sexual Health and Relationships Educators (SHARE) to educate peers about sexual health, consent, pleasure, bystander intervention, healthy relationships, and interpersonal violence prevention. The position requires attendance of trainings, meetings, and participation in events (including some evenings/weekends). Mandatory SHARE training will take place on Friday, August 8 from 6-9 pm; and Saturday and Sunday, August 9-10 from 9-5 pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide sexual misconduct prevention education and outreach
  • Supporting students in building a caring community through bystander intervention
  • Promote healthier relationships through outreach and educational workshops
  • Provide sex education programs as an evidence-based approach to violence prevention

Qualifications:  

  • Must be a in good academic standing.
  • Demonstrated interest in sexual health, healthy relationships, consent education, or violence prevention.

Requirements:

  • Availability: Requirement to attend trainings, meetings, and participate in events (including some evenings/weekends).
  • Mandatory SHARE training: Friday, August 8 from 6-9 pm; Saturday and Sunday, August 9-10 from 9-5 pm
