POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assessment Coordinator will support the Physician Assistant Program’s ongoing assessment, evaluation, and accreditation efforts by analyzing educational outcomes, designing and administering surveys, and preparing data-driven reports aligned with accreditation standards. This role is central to supporting a culture of continuous improvement and institutional effectiveness. This role involves having an in-depth understanding of the Physician Assistant Program’s assessment and accreditation needs. This role reports to the Physician Assistant Program Director, works closely with the PA Director of Assessment and Simulation and the PA program faculty and staff and consults with the Associate Dean for Assessment for the DO Program as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree preferred (or Bachelor’s with equivalent experience in higher education) degree in Statistics, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education institutional research, effectiveness, assessment, or accreditation support.
  • Must have strong statistical analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
  • Strong skills in survey tools (Qualtrics preferred), statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS, etc.), and educational data analysis.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes (e.g., ARC-PA, MSCHE, or comparable bodies).
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI preferred.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Tools and Technologies: Utilize educational tools, software, and access data from Banner, One45, Learning Space, Banner, ExamSoft, admissions platforms (WebAdmit, AMP), Qualtrics, SPSS, SAS, etc. for data analysis and visualization.
  • Documentation: Document methodologies and processes to ensure repeatability and reproducibility of analyses.
  • Ad Hoc Statistical Analysis: Provide ad hoc statistical analysis to support programmatic needs and special projects.
  • Support: Provide support to staff, faculty, and students with program-specific educational software.
  • Liaison: Act as a liaison to university constituents, students, and applicants.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate program effectiveness, including designing surveys, analyzing results, and reporting findings to stakeholders.
  • Accreditation Support: Prepare and maintain documentation required for accreditation processes, ensuring alignment with accrediting bodies' standards and timelines.
  • Data Management: Collect, manage, and analyze data related to student performance, program outcomes, and institutional metrics using appropriate statistical tools.
  • Program Assessment and Analysis: Perform detailed program analysis from key data points and interpret results to provide actionable insights
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to inform decision-making processes, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and administrative units to support assessment initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Engagement: Participate in regular faculty and staff meetings, retreats, program and university committees, and professional organizations.
  • Documentation: Prepare correspondence and maintain essential records and files.
  • Meeting Coordination: Prepare and distribute needed meeting agendas, transcribe, and distribute minutes from meetings.
  • Record Maintenance: Create and maintain meeting minutes and records for the Data Assessment Committee
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidential student, faculty, and staff personal information.
  • Time Management: Prioritize work, solve problems, and organize time with minimal supervision.
  • Policy Adherence: Understand and adhere to university policies and compliance standards.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Keep abreast of all federal, state, and Rowan University regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as needed for the Physician Assistant Program as guided by the PA Program Director.
