Job Summary
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor for Treasury, but providing support to the entire Controller organization. This individual will have primary responsibility of aiding the preparation of monthly reconciliations, as well as various other support of daily operating activities within the Controller organization, as needed. Job requires 15 to 20 hours of individual’s time on a weekly basis (but is flexible). Required to be on campus for at least half of required hours, even during summer. Rate of $20.00 per hour, with option to provide summer housing on campus, if needed.
- Support Accounting Supervisor for Treasury in the following:
- Aid in preparation of monthly investment account reconciliations
- Aiding in the preparation of the monthly cash Zero Balance Account journal entries
- Support Assistant Controller for Asset Management and Business Activities in the following:
- Review of expenses
- Tagging of fixed assets
- Support Accounting Supervisor for Student Financial Systems in the following:
- Aid in preparation of monthly reconciliations for federal and state funded grants to the general ledger
- Recording of various journal entries upon request and approval from members of Controllers Office.
- Aiding in preparation of various monthly financial reports and analysis, as necessary
- In charge of sorting mail in Finance Office and scanning appropriate documents to appropriate individuals
- Will be in charge of various other projects and responsibilities as deemed necessary

Qualifications: |
- Accounting Major
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative workstyle
- Strong critical thinking skills and problem solving
- Preferably accounting student in their senior year with intentions of completing their 150 credit hour requirement.
