Students may perform technical work related to production at direction of faculty or production staff. The Student Assistant will assist small groups of students’ practicing in preparation for daily lessons with artist faculty. In addition, the student may assist faculty/production faculty with logistics related to daily lessons and master classes, studio/ensemble schedules and final concerts. Under direct supervision, Student Assistants perform duties ranging from unskilled to skilled and/or specialized, in a variety of positions that typically require the use of manual, clerical, public contact, and/or analytical skill.
