The Center for Science and Math Education (CSME) at San Francisco State University invites applications for a part-time lecturer faculty position (non-tenure track) with CSME for the academic year 2022-2023. We are especially interested in qualified candidates with demonstrated commitment to being a part of, and advocating for diversity, inclusion, and excellence in science and math education.

CSME seeks an instructor to teach in, and support, the Supplemental Instruction program within the College of Science and Engineering. See the following link for a description of the program:

Application Process:

Applicants are required to upload the following documents:

  • A cover Letter
  • A current Curriculum Vitae (including details of current and previous teaching experience: date of teaching, institution, class-size)
  • The names, addresses, phone-numbers and emails of two professional references who are in a position to comment on the applicant’s current or previous teaching experience. 

Required Qualifications:
• Masters or Ph.D. (or advanced standing in a Ph.D. program) in area of teaching interest
• Record of working and communicating effectively with colleagues and students
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate inclusion, diversity, and educational equity in teaching;
• Experience working closely with students from historically under-represented communities;
• Record of contributing to collegial, supportive, and collaborative work environments;
