Position Responsibilities:
|
- Work with departments to make various and multiple room and setup changes to scheduled events
- Monitors, assigns and answers questions regarding events and events calendar
- Gather and maintain space data (i.e. photos, layouts) and upload it into 25Live
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the 25Live Reservation software system (ex. blackouts, user access)
- Serves as the primary liaison with CollegeNET support
- Plays a significant role on the Committee for Ceremonial Occasions (COCO)
- Oversee emails to commencement@yu.edu and field questions
- Assists with attire management
- Performs administrative and office support activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:
|
- Bachelor's degree preferred in communication, marketing, public relations, or specific to special events, or relevant experience
- A combination of education and experience will also be considered
- Minimum of 1-2 years of event planning experience within higher education, conference or event planning, and/or in facility management or comparable experience in an events setting

- Proven ability to plan, initiate, and manage challenging logistical situations
- Must be able to work independently, taking initiative and be able to ascertain priorities in a dynamic environment of regular interruptions, multiple projects, and deadlines
- A commitment to quality, client-oriented service
- Must be friendly and personable
- Working knowledge of computers
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- The ability to handle unexpected crisis or deadlines
- Tact and discretion in maintaining confidentiality in dealings with campus administrators
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to be a proactive thinker and work independently as well as in a team
- Skillful in dealing with the public, vendors, and friends of the University
- A mature, positive attitude; a team player
- Knowledge of 25Live scheduling software a plus
