Position Summary: Yeshiva University seeks a dynamic, motivated and engaging frontline fundraiser with demonstrated success in building capacity and securing commitments for the role of Director of Institutional Advancement. This person will manage a diverse portfolio of donors, with a focus on parents, alumni and other stakeholders capable of making annual gifts in the $5,000+ range. The Director will bring best practices to the role, conceptualizing and initiating partnerships, initiatives and strategies to both tap into new segments of the donor marketplace and grow existing relationships.
Position Responsibilities: 
  • Identify, research, and engage prospective donors, focusing on parents, alumni and other stakeholders, with the capacity to make significant contributions to the University. Cultivate long-term relationships with these prospects through personalized engagement, including meetings and tailored communications.
  • Manage a diverse donor portfolio, with a focus on the raising funds for Undergraduate Torah Studies and other undergraduate initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify funding opportunities for donors and potential donors that align with university philanthropic priorities
  • Develop and execute strategies to solicit major gifts in alignment with university priorities. Lead personalized gift solicitations by presenting compelling cases for support, resulting in gifts that align with donor interests and University needs.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate follow-up with donors to ensure a high level of satisfaction and ongoing engagement with the University. Coordinate donor recognition activities, ensure regular updates on the impact of their gifts, and provide personal acknowledgment.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, gift proposals, and fundraising progress in the donor management system. Provide regular reports on the progress of fundraising efforts, in alignment with metrics that will be set with supervisor.
Experience & Education Background:
  • Familiarity with the Yeshiva University undergraduate community.
  • 5-7 years of successful fundraising experience. Proven track record of solicitations in the 5-figure range.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; a strong work ethic and ability to maintain and model high personal, ethical and professional standards.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic activities and tasks with clear goals, objectives and measurement tools. Familiarity with fundraising CRMs and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact and engage comfortably with a wide variety of key constituents across the community.
  • Excellent communication skills; effective at engaging audiences both on paper and in person.
Salary Range: $130,000 -$140,0000
