Are you a skilled and experienced leader in logistics and warehouse management? Do you have a strong understanding of supply chain operations and a passion for achieving excellence in customer service? If so, we want you to join our team as a Contract Manager.

Mō te Tūranga | About the role

As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective receipt, storage, picking, and delivery of customer products. You will manage day-to-day staff allocation, equipment, and warehouse operations, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to meet customer needs. Your role will also involve the management of operational KPIs, financial objectives, safety compliance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Ngā Kawenga Matua | Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and effective receipt, put away, picking and delivery of customer products. Ensure the day-to-day allocation of staff and MHE required for effective picking and dispatch of products.
  • Manage the shift workload and associated manning requirements.
  • Help manage the warehouse & distribution functions and activities.
  • Ensure flexible and responsive warehouse services are developed and maintained.
  • Ensure the maintenance and correct operation of company assets.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to OHS and corporate governance.
  • Assist the Auckland Regional Warehouse Manager as required.

Ngā Pūkenga me te Wheako | Skills & experience

  • Tertiary qualification in logistics, management, or a related business field is preferred.
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation management, or supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing staff and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, control expenses, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of WMS, SAP, Excel, and other office software.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health and safety legislation.
