The Senior Manager, Student Load Optimisation provides visible leadership of a team of professional roles and is responsible for the achievement of results for the team’s services and activities aimed at optimising student enrolment, course scheduling, and resource allocation. The role manages the integration of activities within a function and collaborates across multiple practices and processes to achieve the engagement of a network of stakeholders with different contributions. The role is actively involved in and concerned with the influencing of others to achieve outcomes in alignment with university strategies and goals and drives changes which improve operational policies, practices and methods.
As a Senior Manager, Student Load Optimisation, you will:
- Lead the development and maintenance of sophisticated models and tools for optimizing student load, course scheduling, and resource allocation. Utilize statistical and analytical methods to predict student enrolment patterns and academic demand.
- Analyse historical and current data related to student enrolment, course offerings, and academic resources. Identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with academic departments and administration to develop strategies for managing student load and optimizing course offerings. Provide insights and recommendations to support enrolment management and academic planning.
- Create a sustainable climate of service excellence, encourage and support others to see situations from the customer’s perspective and systematically measure customer satisfaction and implement improvement strategies to meet customer needs more effectively.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Management experience of human and material resources
- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience
- Proficiency in statistical and analytical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and data modelling.
- Proven Higher Education experience in student enrolment management, course scheduling, and load optimization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
