As a Senior Student Engagement Officer, you will:

  • Project management and delivery of medium risk campaigns events as directed by the Manager, Student Engagement & Orientation, in accordance with the annual health promotion campaign
  • Provide professional event support and advice during the pre-planning of medium risk Health Promotion events, as well as on the ground support during the implementation of these events.
  • Plan and prioritises work and critical activities appropriately and recognises barriers to achieving outcomes, finds effective ways to deal with them and evaluates progress
  • Seek feedback from students and stakeholders regarding their satisfaction and perspective with student central services, respond to feedback with openness and transparency and seek to identify ways to better service the student
  • Build new and productive relationships with a diverse range of potential students, stakeholders or key and influential individuals both inside and outside the University Seek to continuously improve and apply critical learnings to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery and to provide reports and status updates as required

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Experience in event management/ health promotion or related field and several years’ subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of extensive experience and specialist knowledge, education and/or training.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience in program, project and event coordination, implementation, delivery and evaluation within an educational institution or complex organisation.
  • Administrative experience, preferably in the education sector.
