The Senior Officer, Content (International) is the lead writer within Deakin University's International Marketing Team, responsible for developing and delivering engaging, high-quality content tailored to diverse international audiences. This role drives the ideation, creation, and delivery of impactful short and long-form content for marketing campaigns, ensuring that messaging resonates across multiple markets and cultural contexts.
As a Senior Officer, Content (International), you will:
- Write, edit, produce, and publish multimedia content for international audiences and agreed markets.
- Contribute to the International Content Marketing Strategy by advising on writing best practice, audience nuance and quality assurance processes
- Coordinate content translations with external agencies and country staff to ensure we are effectively and accurately conveying key messages to key audiences
- Project manage the international publications suite, ensuring content is accurate and relevant, and that our wide stakeholder group is informed and engaged.
- Create content pieces that are SEO optimised, identifying key search terms and ensuring our content aligns.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. (journalism, media, public relations, advertising or marketing)
- Experience working as a copywriter or multimedia content producer in a large organisation or digital agency, adhering to style guides, tone of voice etc.
- Experience using digital publishing platforms and editing software (e.g. Wordpress, Adobe Creative Cloud).
