We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused administration staff member to join our motivated and dynamic team.

 

About the Role

Joining our friendly team, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to patients and their families across our clinics’ Administration and Accounts departments. You will be a proactive professional with excellent communication skills and a quality improvement mindset.

You will also be responsible for all administrative duties within the department and undertake all identified tasks and duties as part of a team that works cooperatively, sharing roles and responsibilities to meet the needs of the customer.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Confirming health fund coverage, completing self-funding quotes
  • Attend to the reception desk, directing visitors and handling phone/email enquiries
  • Checking in patients and ambulances
  • Cash handling & EFTPOS payments
  • Precise data entry to ensure patient information is updated
  • Provide administrative support to relevant departments.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a professional administrative skillset and the ability to converse and be empathetic while managing a busy area. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, pathologists, administrators and non-clinical staff.

You will also bring:

  • Previous experience in hospital mainframe systems – desired
  • Previous Hospital, Medical Reception or Health fund experience – desired
  • Health fund experience desirable
  • Computer literacy and precise data entry, including competent keyboard and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to complete tasks within designated time frame
  • Experience in billings, private and funded patients will be highly desirable.

 Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
