About the Opportunity

Greenslopes Private Hospital is searching for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong managerial and leadership qualities to lead a passionate nursing team across our 18 bed Intensive Care Unit.

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day clinical operational management of the ICU, caring for critical care patients both surgical and medical. In this role you will be taking on operational management of the unit and will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources.  The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating all practices, processes and clinical services of the unit.

This position works across a multidisciplinary work environment and works collaboratively with the perioperative, clinical and medical services teams and liaises closely with the Executive team of the hospital.

Our team delivers high-quality 24-hour care with an emphasis on the delivery of 5-star quality services.   

 

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical leadership skillset in an acute hospital emergency setting as a Registered Nurse. You will bring a keen eye for strategic management of clinical staff, financial and material resources. Also, key will be the capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor while effectively managing the resources and needs of the unit.

You will also bring.

  • Minimum 3 years ICU experience
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a continuous improvement / risk management program.
  • Evidence of commitment to self-development
  • Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice.
  • Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite including Excel.
  • Post graduate Critical Care or working towards desirable.
  • Formal management qualifications or working towards desirable

Requirements
