We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us in a part-time role at our St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital, an advanced surgical, medical, and obstetric facility located 5 minutes from Ipswich CBD.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As the WHS Coordinator, you’ll take the lead on WHS across your facility, working closely with the National Safety Team and the facility Executive Team to foster a strong, proactive safety culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Embedding and maintaining the Ramsay safety management system, templates, and documentation.
- Investigating incidents and implementing solutions to minimise future risks.
- Conducting risk assessments, site audits, and workplace safety training.
- Developing and maintaining effective safety practices.
- Preparing and presenting safety performance reports for internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS), with a minimum of a Certificate IV in WHS.
- Experience: Proven experience in Work Health and Safety, ideally within the health sector or a large organisation.
- Communication: Excellent communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with teams across all organisational levels.
- Work Style: A proactive and highly organised approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Autonomy: Demonstrated capability to work independently as the sole safety professional at your facility.
- Essential Skills: Strong skills in planning, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Eligibility: Full Australian work rights, a current police check, and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
What You’ll Be Paid:
This is a permanent part-time position (22.8 hours per week) reporting to the QLD Safety Manager.
Your base annual salary will be between $110,000 and $115,000 (pro rata $66,000 – $69,000), plus superannuation. This is based on your experience and qualifications and does not include any penalties or allowances.
