Job Summary/Basic Function:

To monitor progress of research projects and coordinate information between members of a research team. To contribute to the growth and stability of the research by developing new relationships and funding opportunities. Independently performs components of a research program as directed by a senior member of the research team.

Level Scope:

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Essential Functions:

60% of the time
● Collecting, analyzing, and reporting of data
● Negotiation and coordination with community partners
● Assist dissemination of project results through policy briefs, white papers, reports, conferences, and peer-reviewed publications.
● Provide technical support to researchers
● Assist in the design of the scope and research/evaluation methods for project proposals
● Independently conducts work complementary to the overall research objectives.

40% of the time

● Assist coordination and planning of research deliverables for multiple projects
● Manage document repository of all project data and information
● Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Skilled in working within research/evaluation project environments
● Experience with managing projects and working with the community
● Demonstrated leadership abilities including leading project-coordination meetings, scheduling/tracking of project activities, and collaborating with research/evaluation team members

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of Master's or equivalent degree, or Bachelor's or equivalent degree, plus at least 2 years of post-Bachelor's work experience in a role that is similar to that of a Research Assistant.
