You will prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints, smooth out imperfections, and work with ceiling tile installers to build walls. Among other duties, you will read blueprints and designs; prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing; and use a lift to position ceiling panels. You will also measure, cut, fit, and secure drywall panels and press paper tape into compound. Additionally, you will fill joints between panels and cover nail and screw holes with spackle using a trowel.
