The Coordinator will advocate for students, collaborate with faculty and staff, and develop intentional programming that promotes personal growth, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging at Lake Superior State University. The Coordinator will also manage the Martin Luther King, Jr. - César Chávez - Rosa Parks (KCP) grant budget, hire, train, supervise, and lead a team of Laker Success Coaches, and partner with campus colleagues to develop engagement opportunities. In its First-Generation Coordinator capacity, the position will develop and coordinate initiatives to improve the persistence, retention, and post-graduation success of first-generation students. This includes implementing targeted interventions, coordinating programming, and fostering partnerships across campus to build an inclusive and supportive environment for first-generation students and their families.

      This position serves as the governance and compliance specialist, responsible for coordinating, managing, and monitoring governance processes and compliance requirements for the Charter Schools Office (CSO). Working under the direct supervision of the CSO Director, this role provides leadership in board governance practices, oversees the collection and verification of required compliance documentation, and supports the CSO across multiple operational and administrative functions.
