At LCRA, we are looking for a plan reviewer to join our team to help protect water quality in the Highland Lakes Watershed! This position would work closely with our engineering review team and inspection staff ensuring compliance of LCRA’s Highland Lakes Watershed Ordinance. The focus would be on reviewing permit applications and site plans associated with single family lots. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the field of stormwater and provide the best management practices and erosion and sediment control installation in a construction environment. In this role we need a candidate with well developed communication skills both oral and written. This position will require you to use those skills when dealing with the public, contractors, and development community. You will be trusted to:

- Perform reviews of stormwater best management practices, erosion and sediment.
- Control plans for permitted and exempt sites to comply with LCRA's Highland Watershed Ordinance.
- Document reviews within MyPermit database.
- Prepare and deliver correspondence to property owners, builders, and development community.
- Reviews construction plans and permit applications.
- Perform site meetings with the public, builders, and contractors.

You qualify with:

- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering plus two or more years of experience in water quality protection, environmental program administration or environmental compliance.
- Driver’s license

- For OSSF positions only: Registered Sanitarian license in the State of Texas for positions with assigned OSSF responsibility.

You are a great fit with:

- Experience in stormwater quality protection and erosion/sediment control best management practices.
- Experience in construction, design and/or inspection of best management practices for stormwater quality protection and erosion/sediment control.
- Experience in effective communication, report writing, customer and consultant interface, and coordination with members of the public and land development community.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, design schematics and project specifications.
