Are you skilled at coordinating schedules and ensuring seamless operations? At LCRA, we are seeking to find a driven Power Plant Scheduler to join our dynamic team! This position has an overall responsibility to ensure the highest priority work is being performed at all times and that all maintenance resources are being fully and efficiently utilized. In efforts to make this possible you will track available resources, review the maintenance backlog, develop multi-week schedules based on plant priorities and work order deadlines. This role ensures that all work, including equipment and regulatory compliance PM’s, are scheduled and completed on time. You will be able to utilize in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services. We encourage you to take a new perspective to solve complex problems, work independently and receives minimal guidance. This role acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may direct the work of other staff members. You will be trusted to:
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to effectively manage scheduling and work management processes. - Work with operations and Multi-craft Supervisors to ensure all LOTO’s necessary to perform scheduled work are arranged and in place to facilitate efficient execution of work schedules. - Review planned work order backlog, PM backlog and regulatory compliance list and working with plant management, develop multi-week work schedules, scheduling 100% of available employee-hours for the current scheduling period. - Develop and maintain a forced outage schedule for each unit. - Work with operations support schedulers to bring in additional resources if plant resources are not sufficient to accomplish all priority work. - Work with Power Plant Planners and Multi-craft Supervisors to ensure priority work is being completed as scheduled. - Work with plant management on emergent work to determine if it is necessary to break the current work schedules or if emergent work can be rolled into the normal planning process.

You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in industrial (power, petrochemical, pulp/paper, steel, etc) plant operations, maintenance or engineering or other relevant experience. - A degree(s) in power generation, engineering, business, science, math or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
- Experience in developing and implementing CMMS processes. - Experience with Maximo, Primavera P6, and PaSTA . - Experience in developing and tracking metrics. - Experience in operating and maintaining conventional gas and coal fired power plants. - Experience in maintenance planning principles, including work package development and PM development.
