LCRA is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and collaborative Senior Engineer to lead major multiyear projects associated with LCRA Transmission Services capital plan. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the technical aspects of major Transmission infrastructure projects that incorporate new equipment asset types and technology into LCRA’s Transmission System.

You will be trusted to:

- Serve as the project’s engineering lead by initiating and coordinating technical activities with LCRA stakeholders, Engineering Consultants, and design build firms.
- Initiate and manage the development of technical requirements and specification documents to support project execution.
- Monitor adherence to established specifications during project implementation.
- Lead design reviews with LCRA stakeholders and Engineering Consultants.
- Manage, disseminate, and track design deliverables, technical RFIs, and other project related deliverables to stakeholders for review and approval.
- Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders and leadership.

You qualify with:

- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas plus eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering.  
- Driver's license

You are a great fit with:

- Engineering experience in 138 kV – 345 kV Substation and Transmission Line design.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience leading and working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting projects involving Synchronous Condensers, GIS Substations, or EHV is a plus.
