This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Melbourne.
What you’ll do
- Manage Industrial Special Risk (ISR), complex commercial property and large loss claims from initial assessment through to final settlement.
- Manage and resolve high-hazard and complex claims
- Proactively manage expectations with insureds and brokers, clearly explaining policy responses and how claim outcomes are determined.
- Provide feedback to Underwriters and the Claims Manager on emerging issues, trends, or risk deficiencies.
- Deliver regular claim updates to brokers and customers in line with Service Standards and the Code of Practice, including declinatures and opportunities for feedback.
- Utilise internal systems effectively to manage claims and maintain accurate records.
- Determine appropriate policy coverage, including indemnity, liability, and quantum considerations.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience managing commercial property claims, particularly major loss claims (essential).
- Proven experience handling high-quantum claims (essential).
- Strong technical knowledge of material damage and business interruption claims.
- A strong track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Well-developed decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
