The Role 

Join our dynamic Financial and Regulatory reporting team as a Financial Reporting Assistant Accountant, based in Brisbane.

This role plays a key part in supporting the Financial Reporting & Delivery (FRD) team to ensure we deliver high-quality reporting and financial and regulatory reporting requirements.

What you’ll do

You will…

  • Assist the Financial Reporting & Delivery team in meeting financial and regulatory reporting requirements, promoting best practices.
  • Assist in the production and submission of statutory, regulatory, and internal reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to stakeholders.
  • Assist in delivering high-quality reporting to Board and executive stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Assist with the APRA returns reporting process, coordinating inputs from key stakeholders, supporting governance processes, and working closely with the FRD team from planning to submission.

Skills & Experience  

  • Degree qualification in accounting (mandatory)
  • Working towards Chartered Accountant or CPA (desired)
  • At least 2 years’ accounting experience, focusing on General Ledger accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting with large computerised systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
