The ED Testing Chapter is an integral part of the Enterprise Delivery Practice, which drives the delivery of key strategic initiatives to make the Suncorp ambition to be the leading Trans-Tasman insurer a reality. We are a growing team of Test Managers, Test Leads and Test Analysts that work closely with business, technology and project teams across the organisation.
About the role:
We are seeking a Test Analyst for a secondment opportunity! The Test Analyst is accountable for ensuring software and systems meet the business needs and function as intended in production and non-production environments. The Test Analyst helps to identify and report on any risks or issues and works closely with stakeholders to address feedback and ensure a successful project launch.
You do not need to have prior Testing experience and will be fully supported in a team environment.
You will work closely with our Test Leads and Test Manager to execute all testing activities, which will be managed using Agile delivery methodologies. You will have exposure to a variety of business and technology domains and drive engagement with business stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes are delivered to meet our customer needs.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with the Project test team to develop, coordinate and execute all testing activities.
- Co-ordinate and execute Post-Verification Testing (PVT) to validate system changes post-deployment.
- Track test case execution and manage defect resolution, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain thorough documentation of testing activities, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to risk mitigation efforts.
- Prepare reports and metrics to communicate progress and software quality to stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on test results and assist in ensuring a smooth handover to business users.
- Foster a positive work environment, contribute to team-building initiatives, and continuously develop your skills in alignment with the latest tools and frameworks.
What you’ll bring:
- Minium 2 years' experience in call centre environments; Consumer Protect knowledge is a must
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the insurance industry.
- Familiarity with Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and Post-Verification Testing (PVT) would be an advantage but is not a requirement
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment, managing competing priorities.
